Returns
How many days do I have to return my item(s)?
At All Rounder we try our hardest to offer the best service possible, and understand that while ordering cricket equipment over the internet can sometimes be a little difficult to judge sizes and colours, we try to offer a returns policy that takes this into consideration. As a result of this we offer either an exchange or a total refund of all goods (except bats that have been knocked in or facing/tape added to them) purchased through All Rounder Cricket Equipment, providing they are returned to us in their original packaging and have not been used, within 14 days of purchase. Cricket bats that have been knocked in or personalised with bat facing or tape will not be exchanged or refunded unless faulty.
How do I return my item(s)?
On the back of your order form you will have a return section that you need to fill out and send back with your item(s). The returns address is stated on this sheet. We recommend you send the package back to us through a recorded/tracked delivery.
Will I receive the postage I have paid to send the item(s) back to you?
Unless the item(s) you have purchased are faulty or we have sent the wrong items to you then you would have to cover the postage yourself if it was just a straight forward return for instance if the size was wrong or you purely did not like the item(s).
Is it possible to return an item which was a gift?
Of course. However, please be aware the refund would be processed using the payment method the person originally used to make the purchase. If it is an exchange you require then just make it clear on the returns form that is the option you would like and specify the new address you would like the exchange sending to.
How long does it take to process a refund?
Once we have received the item(s) back it would take between 3 and 5 days usually for the refund to be processed.
The order has been returned but I have still not seen the money refunded on my bank statement?
Once processed the funds can take up to 48 hours to be seen in your bank account. If it is any longer than this please feel free to email us at info@allroundercricket.com where we will be able to assist you further.
Cricket Product Information
My Cricket Bat has broken, what should I do?
Cricket Bats are made from wood (Natural Material) and the bats would normally receive some artificial cracks over time and use. However, if you believe the bat is clearly not up to scratch and not doing what it should then please follow the return guidelines and send it back to us. We will then inspect the item and let you know of what happens next. We usually have to consult the manufacturer which means the process can take longer than the usual 3-5 days a return or refund would. If you have been using your bat for longer than a full cricket season we would never issue a refund under any circumstances.
How do I know what Cricket Bat size to buy?
This is a tricky question but height is generally the determining factor on what size bat you should choose.
Here is a chart to make things a little easier:
The weight of the bat is important and here is a good test you can do to determine which weight you would require. Take your stance and lift the bat up in front of you and then takeaway your bottom hand. If you cannot control the bat in a comfortable stand up position then it is probably too heavy for you to be using. It is easier if you can come to our store and test the bats for yourself but if you order and it is the wrong weight you can always utilise our returns system and acquire the next weight down or whatever you feel necessary, we could also issue a full refund.
I am looking at your different batting categories and a lot of the bats look exactly the same but some are much more expensive than others, what is the difference?
Cricket Bats are made with different standards of English Willow normally and are generally graded this way. The more expensive bats will have a higher quality English Willow (Grade 1 being the best), with a better colour across the blade as well as “pinging” off the bat nicely for better feel and touch.
Do I need to do anything to my Cricket Bat before I use it competitively?
ALL natural faced bats MUST be coated in Linseed Oil or a specific cricket bat oil/wax. This is hugely important as a bat which is not prepared or under prepared is much more likely to split or crack and potentially be unusable. 2-3 coats is usually enough, letting each coat fully dry before applying the next.
Knocking-in is CRUCIAL even if it states in the information the bat has already been prepared for full usage. This compresses the willow in the faces and edges to form a difficulty to guard the bat when the full force of a ball hits it. If Knocking-in is performed correctly you bat will have a greater protection and be able to be utilised many more times throughout its life with you.
This process is utilised either with a specialist wooden mallet or a high grade old cricket ball. The bat should be recurrently hit against the main part of the hitting area, making sure you also pay particular attention to the face around the toe and edges of the bat. The force should gradually increase as you knock in the bat more. This is a patience process and can take up to 6 hours of fully knocking in but every bat is different.
MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT hit the Splice, Handle, end or rear of the blade!
It is now recommend to use against an old ball in nets for example or in a catching environment. If you do use the bat and seam marks are apparent on the face then further knocking in is required.
